Mechanical Presses

Transfer Press – Multiple transfer press

Our multi-die mechanical presses are built around a cam-driven ram with a precisely engineered cam contour that creates dwell at the dead centers. This controlled dwell stabilizes material flow during critical deep-drawing phases and, together with the mass of the upper tool, delivers a uniquely vibration-reduced machine behavior—without a complex counterbalance/weight compensation system. The result is repeatable forming windows, improved part consistency, and robust process capability.

The drive concept provides ideal conditions for parallel tooling operations across blanking, drawing, and trimming. Its kinematics support reliable timing between stations, making it well-suited for multi-die layouts where throughput and stability must go hand in hand.

A modular press design allows all key technical parameters to be tailored to the application. Integration options include servo strip feeding systems in various designs, plus mechanical or servo transfer systems to match your line concept. The accompanying die carrier system (die set) is customized to the user’s requirements—supporting your tooling strategy, rigidity needs, and changeover approach.

Every press is built to specification: a defined ram stroke per customer request and overall sizing configured to the part spectrum, tooling package, and plant layout. If you are looking to combine deep-drawing quality with efficient multi-station productivity, this cam-driven platform provides a proven foundation.

Cupping Systems

Our unique cupping press is a vertical, double-action machine engineered to efficiently convert wide metal strips into multiple, high-quality cups in a single, fluid process. It combines two forming stages—blanking and cupping—into one stroke, delivering the speed and consistency required for large-scale component manufacturing.

The Double-Action Advantage

At the heart of the press are two nested eccentrics that enable two distinct actions within a single machine cycle – Blanking and Cupping.

This integrated process maximizes efficiency and ensures a smooth transition from raw material to a formed component.

Engineered for lasting accuracy, the robust 4-Guide Slide System is designed to maintain exceptional precision and alignment, even under the extreme, continuous forces of high-volume production. This rigidity is critical for ensuring consistent part quality, minimizing tool wear, and guaranteeing reliable machine performance over the long term.

As a fully automated, PLC-controlled machine, the cupper is equipped with a comprehensive sensor package placed at various critical points. This system ensures the press runs in perfect synchronization with ancillary equipment, creating a seamless and highly efficient production line from coil to cup.

The user-friendly touch LCD screen serves as the central hub for the operator. It not only provides real-time performance monitoring but also allows for intuitive control and configuration of all production parameters, putting total process control at your fingertips.

How it works:

Blanking

A flat metal sheet is cut into a circular or oval blank.

Cupping Process

The blank is positioned on the die. The mechanical press drives a punch down onto the blank, pressing it into the die cavity to form a cup shape. The force applied is controlled by the mechanical motion of the press.

Ejection

After the cup shape is formed, the press retracts, and the newly formed cup is ejected from the die.

Key Features:

High Speed

Mechanical presses can operate at high speeds, making them efficient for high-volume production – up to 2000 parts per minute

Precision

The mechanical design offers precise, repeatable control over the depth and shape of the cup.

Material Efficiency

HT-PT cuppers are designed to minimize material waste, maximizing the yield from each blank and provide the basis for any high volume production like battery cans, ammunition shell casing or aerosol cans.
