multiple Transfer presses
Transfer presses & multiple die presses
Precise forming technology for the highest demands
From the blank or strip to the finished component – in a continuous, highly efficient process. Our transfer presses and step forming presses in the PTR series have been specially developed for the efficient series production of deep-drawn parts – for precise results with maximum productivity.
Drive technology & machine principle
The heart of our PTR presses is the cam-controlled slide – a proven technology that has been specially optimized for transfer press applications. The adaptable cam profile enables targeted dwell times at the dead centers, which ideally supports parallel die processes or the high-speed processing of sensitive materials.
Thanks to the cam design specially developed for the respective application in combination with optimized moving masses, our presses achieve uniquely low-vibration machine operation – without the need for a complex weight balancing system. Permanently optimized guides also ensure maximum precision and reliable parallel running of the press ram.
The modular machine design allows the flexible implementation of individual technical parameters – adapted to your specific application. Servo feed systems in various designs as well as mechanical or servo-controlled transfer systems round off the concept. The tool carrier system (die set) supplied is tailored precisely to the user’s requirements.
Functional principle
The forming process is divided into precisely coordinated stages:
- Feeding – strip or blank feeding depending on the application
- Cup stage (1st stage) – deep drawing of the blank to form the cup
- Tool forming stages – step-by-step shaping of the component geometry in several stages
- Ejection / removal – automated or manual
Each press is equipped with customized draw heights in the cam and built entirely according to customer specifications – for maximum flexibility and optimum adaptation to your tools and processes.
